Gas Giant shader
----------------

Example files
-------------

These are some very simple files to experiment with. Feel free to do whatever you like with them.

1. gasgiant_basic_scene

As the name implies, the most basic scene possible. The gradient is one of the presets supplied with Cinema 4D. The scene uses simple distortion with 10% strength and a scale of 360%.

2. gasgiant_basic_scene_redshift

Another basic scene this time using the shader in Redshift. Uses a slightly different gradient with a lower octaves setting, but otherwise very similar to the first example.

3. gasgiant_cshift.c4d

A very basic scene using a more complex gradient so you can test the colour remapping and colour shift controls. Try turning on the 'Remap Color' switch then changing the 'Color Shift' value. This scene also uses a Noise shader to control distortion - the strength is initially set to zero, try increasing this then altering the Noise shader settings. Different noises can give very different effects (try 'Luka' for a nice result).

4. gasgiant_jovian.c4d

Another simple scene but using a colour gradient derived from actual NASA images of Jupiter.

5. gasgiant_moon_in_transit_anim.c4d

An animated scene showing a small moon transiting the face of the gas giant.
